Major grant award to Professor Harvey

The EHE Rare Cancer Foundation Australia was excited to announce that it has awarded a major grant to Professor Kieran Harvey to fund the first year of a two year project.

Through the application of novel approaches and cutting-edge technologies, Professor Harvey aims to provide a rich body of completely new knowledge and insights into EHE protein behaviour and targeted therapies.

Professor Harvey is a world leading expert in the Hippo pathway, which he helped to discover in the early 2000’s (and which is dysregulated in EHE and causes it to be malignant).

Professor Harvey currently holds dual appointments at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) and Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. At Peter Mac, he leads the Organogenesis and Cancer Program and at Monash he runs a laboratory in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology.

This is a very exciting project, so stay tuned for further details in future posts, together with  opportunities to support the continuance of this important work.
