Run for EHE Rare Cancer Charity in 2027!

We’d love for you to join us and run for EHE Rare Cancer Charity in 2027! We ask for a £30 donation to secure your charity place — which is up to 70% off the retail cost of the race entry! You can also make an additional donation to receive your official EHE running T-shirt or vest below.

Our Target Events for 2027

After an amazing year in 2026, we’re already looking ahead! Here are the events we’ll be targeting in 2027 — pick your race and join the EHE team:

  • Great Birmingham Run — 10K / Half Marathon (Birmingham): Sunday 2 May 2027
  • Great Bristol Run — 10K / Half Marathon (Bristol): Sunday 9 May 2027
  • Great Manchester Run — 10K / Half Marathon (Manchester): Sunday 23 May 2027
  • Great North 10K (Newcastle): Sunday 4 July 2027
  • Saucony London 10K (London): Sunday 11 July 2027
  • Great North Run — Half Marathon (Newcastle): Sunday 12 September 2027
  • Great Scottish Run — 10K (Glasgow): Sunday 3 October 2027

Fundraising

We don’t set a minimum fundraising target — just do your best! If you can aim for around £500, that would be amazing. But please don’t worry if that’s not possible. Every pound helps, and we’re grateful for whatever you can raise.

T-Shirts / Vests

We encourage all runners to wear the charity run T-shirt / Vest to show your support and raise awareness and it really builds a great atmosphere on race day. (And our colours make you easy to spot!)

The T-Shirts and Vests are the same as previous years so feel free to reuse your ones from previous years!


Changes or Cancellations

If you’ve made a donation and can no longer run — whether due to injury or a change of plans — please let us know as soon as possible. We can then reallocate your place to another runner. As a small charity, every space and every pound counts. Please consider your race entry a donation which is non-refundable if youre unable to race, but please do contact us.

How to Fundraise

We recommend creating a JustGiving page and linking it to EHE Rare Cancer Charity. It’s free to set up, and you can opt out of platform fees so that every donation goes straight to the charity.

Important Information

We ask for a £30 donation to secure your charity place. This helps cover a small portion of our costs, with the rest subsidised by EHE Rare Cancer Charity so that more money goes directly to supporting vital research and patient support.

This year is slightly different to previous years and the aim of the £30 initial donation is to protect the chairty from costs of running these events and to encourage more people to run for us without the pressure of hitting fundraising targets.

Please look out for an email from “Let’s Do This” between the time you sign up and a few weeks before the event, this is to register for you race number / emergency contacts etc, its important you do this or you wont receive your race pack to run! Please contact us using the link on this page if you havent received it 2 weeks prior.

Many of our runners have run for us previously and have a link to EHE whether it be a friend, family member or even themselves! Every donation really does make a difference.

  • Your details will be used to register you for your chosen event.
  • We may contact you to confirm details or invite you to our WhatsApp running group.
  • We’ll send your race pack, T-shirt, and updates ahead of the 2027 event.

Please note: we do not have charity places for the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2027.

You’ll receive a confirmation email once your donation is complete — please check your junk folder just in case.

Please register and open up your donation pages as early as possible to help us forecast the number of place and to help rasie as much money as you can. Entries with close ~ 1 month before the event. With people supporting you it can help motivation and if you become injured the charity has still recieved some money to towards the cause.
