It is always great when EHE patients get together, but even more special somehow when this involves patients from different continents. There was great excitement therefore when Michelle Hughes arrived in London, UK, as Michelle explained:
“We travelled from Prince Edward Island, Canada to London, England to run in the London Landmarks half marathon wearing an EHE UK charity shirt. It was a beautiful day when we met with Hugh Leonard and fellow patient Sally Baker the day before the race. I’m so honoured and beyond grateful my body can do this. Unfortunately every liver tumour grew last scan 2 weeks ago, but it is only giving me more motivation to run like the wind tomorrow. Well, run in the wind since it’s calling for gusts of 50km winds, but I’m so very excited to meet some of my fellow patients from the UK tomorrow. Let’s do this!”
